Curatorial Program
SILKLY ART is a standing curatorial house. We curate at our Macau gallery space; mid-to-large thematic exhibitions are co-presented with the government, universities, and cultural institutions. Every exhibition has a theme; every work has a physical showing — that is our fundamental difference from pure e-commerce.
How we curate
Selectivity is the lifeblood of the brand. If open submission floods us with low-quality work, the brand is diluted; therefore “accept” is curatorial gatekeeping, not an open inbox.
Exhibition formats
A standing small show runs in our Macau gallery space, keeping works continuously in public view; mid-to-large thematic exhibitions are co-presented with government departments, universities, and cultural institutions, expanding reach and collector contact.

Curatorial directions
The following are curatorial directions (not confirmed dates). Our habit: most works are already catalogued and pre-sold before the show; the exhibition itself is the value-and-news event where artists, buyers, government, and the public gather — building a public market and cultural voice for the silk poster.
The flying-apsara motifs of the Mogao caves, presented in a way the West can read as Chinese culture.
Reimagined Forbidden City motifs, split into limited and open tracks.
Chinese deities and mythological figures (e.g. Mazu, Nezha), created by artists upon licensor approval.
Forbidden City architectural aesthetics and festive motifs — among the strongest single cultural narratives on the site.
Same co-creation flow, different licensor, open to contemporary pop culture.
Invite iconic Chinese and international artists to re-express their vocabulary through the silk poster.

Government departments, universities, cultural institutions, and venues are welcome to propose co-curated exhibitions.
