Provenance & Rating
What turns a silk poster from craft into an art asset is not the material itself, but a trustworthy record of origin. SILKLY ART builds provenance in three layers: numbering, a tamper-evident registry, and an independent review system.
Each poster embeds an invisible anti-counterfeit number, visible only under special light. The number is identity — the first record of provenance.
The origin, edition, and exhibition record of every released piece is written into a verifiable registry. Ownership transfers can be traced; nothing can be altered after the fact.
An independent review system of domestic and international experts and artists certifies each work. The power to rate does not sit with the issuer.
Why we design it this way
If the issuer both releases and rates — setting the secondary-market price itself — collectors will not trust it, and it carries legal risk. SILKLY ART hands the rating power to an independent review system. Our role is the third-party “recorder”: faithfully logging number, origin, exhibition, and certification.
This is exactly why collecting systems like BE@RBRICK can grow a secondary market: value emerges from the market and independent reputation, not from the seller’s own claims.
“Numbered is a collectible; unnumbered is a commodity.”
Numbering and registry decide whether a work can be collected, circulated, and trusted. It is the shared language of the art world.
Technical implementation
We issue a “Blockchain Certificate of Provenance” for every silk edition — writing the number, origin, edition, independent certification, and exhibition record into a publicly verifiable blockchain registry, forming a tamper-evident digital certificate of origin.
The certificate is issued by the Macau Longyou Silk Culture & Art Center, naming the artist as the original creator; collectors can verify authenticity and transfer at any time. This certificate serves our overseas collectors as a digital extension of provenance — not a speculative product.
“A verifiable origin is what makes it an asset.”
The Blockchain Certificate of Provenance lets a silk edition carry its value and its story with it as it circulates internationally.
Basis of Trust · Provenance
The power to rate does not sit with the issuer. We are the third-party recorder: every silk edition enters an independent review of experts and artists, and every piece is bound to a blockchain certificate of provenance for overseas collectors.
Artist submission → Curatorial review → Numbered silk release → Independent certification → Collector market. Secondary-market appreciation feeds back into the artist’s reputation.
Exhibition record is provenance
A standing rule of the spec: every released work has a physical exhibition record. The exhibition floor, artist talks, collector meet-ups — all are written into the registry, becoming part of the work’s story, so provenance is more than a sheet of paper: it is a sequence of real events.
